Árni Kristjánsson finished his Masters degree in directing from Bristol Old Vic in 2018 and founded the theatre group Lakehouse, shortly thereafter. Árni has written several scripts and won Gríman, the Icelandic Performing Arts Award in 2014 for best radio play, Song of the Ravens. He has written libretto for three operas, Shadow Flower (2007), The Sealskin (2016) and The Plastic Opera (2018).
Árni teaches drama at the Iceland University of the Arts, among other schools. He is the head master of Reykjavik City Theatre's drama school.
